Harvard wins the Beanpot hockey tournament.

Harvard beats Boston College 5-4 in overtime before 5,654 in the first year that the tournament is played at Boston Garden. Cambridge native Bill Cleary, scores two goals and two more assists in the game. The night before, Harvard had beaten Northeastern 12-5 to reach the finals, as Cleary scored a tournament record five goals and two assists.
